Hi, I’m Cece!

I’m currently working on a movie called BENDERS as the script supervisor and 2nd AD as well as co-writing a feature with my friend! I’m a NYC-based filmmaker and creative and recently graduated from Pace University with a B.A. in Film and Screen Studies and a minor in Psychology.

My love for storytelling began as an overdramatic daydreaming ADHD older sister who was a bit too bossy for a little kid. Growing up, I went through many different dream careers; writer, dancer, architect, actor, rockstar, photographer—but my greatest joy as a kid was playing pretend with my sister, friends, stuffed animals and toys and coming up with a plot that felt the most interesting and exciting (even if that meant I had everyone stop and told them what we should do). Every family event, I would direct my sweet little sister in some sort of performance to be shown and filmed, and would occasionally convince the adults to act for me. Becoming a director was bound to happen, though I don’t have the same control issues as 7-year-old Cece. I grew up dancing, playing instruments, writing, taking photos, painting, playing video games, and consuming various forms of art. I think I was always going to take the creative path— it’s a part of my soul. In middle school, I became a theatre kid and my love for acting and musicals really developed, high school is when I realized my love for film and directing was not only a passion of mine, but an actual career option for me, and college was for fine-tuning those skills. Post-grad, I am learning that I can commit myself to more of my creative endeavors.

I want to direct, write, script supervise, assistant direct, cast, film, photograph, edit, act, produce, paint, play instruments, build, and combine forms of art. The way I see it is that creativity cannot be boxed up and sorted nicely — and it shouldn’t. Why limit ourselves to choosing when art is inherently messy? This is what truly gives the entertainment industry a soul, so I think we should embrace and protect that chaos.

Telling stories through a dream-like gaze is my favorite thing to do. I love bringing people to the escape from reality just to see our world from a new perspective. We should not turn our heads away from the world and ignore what we need to fix, but it’s also nice to live in an fantastical tale and take a break, so this combination is always exciting for me.

If you ever lose me, you can find me playing with hair dye, reading, taking personality tests, or with the nearest cat.
